- Description: Remake of the hit reincarnation comedies ‘Here Comes Mr Jordan’ (1941) and ‘Heaven Can Wait’ (1978). Chris Rock plays Lance Barton, a struggling black comic who meets an untimely end in a road accident. Lance protests to the heavenly bureaucrats that he has been taken too soon, and luckily for him they agree, subsequently allowing him to return to Earth in the body of just-murdered white millionaire Charles Wellington. Now, in this unlikely guise, Lance sets out to realise his dreams: to make it big as a comedian and win the heart of the woman he loves.
