Tales From The Golden Age

Romanian drama portraying life in Eastern Europe during the late Communist era of the 1980s through a sequence of five vignettes of the lives of ordinary people, based around some of the most popular urban myths prevalent during the period. Various surreal scenarios unfold as the citizens cheerfully flout the often absurd rules of the state, retaining a dark sense of humour and a tender humanity under the grim exterior.
